Claws scraped across stone as the broad shouldered tom slid landed on the large flat stone. The other tom stared in horror at the scene that had just unfolded. He was vaguely aware of the blood splattered across his cheek.
The broad shouldered tom looked at him, his piercing yellow eyes void of any emotion. The gray tom looked down at the body between him and the broad shouldered tom. There lay Rockface. A retired queen whom had been one of his only remaining family members.

Now she lay there, her claws unsheathed and her eyes wide, never to display the affection she showed to him. Her usually gray and cream fur now stained in blood and torn from her neck. Her death had been swift, thank Starclan. But she was dead either way.
"N...No..." The tom couldn't even bring himself to formulate a sentence. Instead, he looked up at the tom who had brought death to his grandmother. His half brother, Badgerclaw.

The tom's forepaws were stained in the queen's crimson blood, and the sticky fluid dripped down his muzzle. Whether Badgerclaw had killed her by throat or by the bite to the back of Rockface's neck, it was no longer a matter. Stonestar looked up, hoping to see at least a shred of remorse in his brother's eyes, hoping to know the senior warrior he had managed to bond with over the last few moons had not faded back into the battle hungry apprentice that nearly killed him seasons ago. All he saw, was a faint hint of regret. Stonestar opened his mouth to ask what had brought his half brother to do this. However, his brother only replied with:
"She deserved a more painful death."

So here is some background for Badgerclaw. But yes, he killed his own grandmother in the center of Leafclan camp.
